A conference for Dragon Nest KR has been held on 23rd May 2015, where Eyedentity has revealed various exciting new upcoming updates, including a new class Machina, new active skills for Level 90 cap etc. The contents revealed in the conference are summarized as follows :
- Unification of Dragon Jade
Various Dragon Jade type will be unified into a single type.
- Unification of Gear
All armors no longer has class restriction.
- New Class : Machina
Only the silhouette of Machina is shown.
The silhouette seems to be very similar to a certain NPC in Lotus Marsh, with pointy ears and a long tail:
- Remake of buff/debuff of all classes
- Party buff/debuff will be reduced/removed.
- Skills in base job will be enhanced.
- Costume preview function in Auction House
- Action combat
3R: Action Reverse, Stress Relieve, Content Reboot - Enchantment Inheritance System
- Enchantment level can be transferred to new weapons (with some losses) of similar grade regardless of level.
- The picture shows “+13″ of a Level 80 weapon is transferred to a level 90 weapon to become “+11″.
- Requires special items for inheritance process.
- 2 new nests Reboot
Likely referring to Lv90 Reboot mode for Manticore & Archbishop Nest (based on info in client). - New Level 90 Active Skills : Hero Skills
- All classes can learn these Hero Skills between level 80-90.
- Party buff skills: attack increase, defence increase , or damage reduction etc.
- These skills CD are shared (among other party members).
- All original party buffs of all classes are removed, in exchange for higher skill damage.
- Party setup which consists of specific classes (except for guardian and healer perhaps) is no longer required.
- Allow players to setup party based on matching hero skills; lessen class discrimination.
- Gear enchantment stats reduced
To reduce the stress on players, the stats gained from enchantment is reduced, in comparison with the base stats of the gear.
- Dragon Nest Solo Mode
Solo-mode for boss stage of Dragon Nest raid, with adjusted difficulties.
- Pet Growth
New pets which can grow and change their appearance will be introduced.
- User Interface (UI) improvement
- Indication for superarmor
- Support UI for each class
- Transparency of skill effect and synchronization of abnormal status.
- Challenge mode
New field, random monster, total 3 ~ 5 rounds.
- Mercenary System
- New way to use mercenary; allow players to send mercenary to clear quest and dungeon.
- Allow you to earn gold and exp upon successful clearing.
- The chance of success and time required will be shown and dependent on the ability of the mercenary.
- Experience to level up is reduced.
- Major class balance patch in July
- Smasher, Kali, Gladiator will be boosted in July.
- The mechanics of bubble/block counter for Guardian will be revamped in July.
- Hit limit of Artillery’s Rapid Shot EX to be removed.
- level cap increase in July
- Removal of 2-man Dragon Expedition.
- New Special (side-story) classes.
- Dark-series and Holy-series classes
- The next special class is Holy-series.
- Not releasing new job branch for Lencea
- Not increasing the power of Ice elemental.
- Difficulties of Level 90 Nest is reduced significantly.
- Revamp of Farm system
- No plan to add light-elemental to Smasher laser skills.
- No plan to add S-grade dragon jade
- Strengthen 2nd Job Advance
- Allows 2-3 options of EX skills + Lv65 passives in 2nd job advance (similar to Dark Avenger).
- For example, Triple Slash EX2 of Gladiator can hit up to 5 times.
- Allows player to customize their character skills according to preference while preserving the characteristic of the class.
- Current progress of this revamp is 50% complete.
- Next character after Machina will be a male one.
- Elemental conversion jade can be obtained through easier means.
- Reduce buff clearing mechanics in raid; reduce invincible piercing mechanics; buff food/potion becomes more useful
- Additional control for projectiles of skills such as laser cutter, moon blade dance, etc.
- Reduce the healing ability of Iona in Hero Battle Field
- Enchanting Lv90 gear will be easier than previous levels.
- Improve rewards for ladder and pvp arena.
- Introduce guild party system, guild war and guild reward point which can be used to purchase various goodies.
- New continents and new Third core Nest.
- Stats of monsters in dungeon will be reduced to facilitate solo.
- Reduce party wipe mechanics in dungeon/raid.
- Improvement to Citadel of Corruption
